Penson and Co. Inc started an initiative to donate vegetables to different Barangay’s in the metro and hospitals. With a tireless effort to coordinate remotely and the eagerness to lend a helping hand, PCI was able to help our small upland farmer in the cordillera by purchasing 2.5 tons. Transported to distribute a variety of vegetables like cabbage, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, Baguio beans, potatoes and radish.
PCI was able to reach out to the different food kitchens of District 1 in QC including Barangay Bungad, West triangle and those in NIA; the help also extended to Barangays Mayamot and Sta. Cruz in Antipolo and Pasig’s Barangay Kalawaan and San Joaquin and the farthest was the San Juan Del Monte resettlement in Bulacan. PCI collaborated with and supplied around 200 kilos worth of vegetables to Cucina ni Nadia to prepare over 1000 pack meals for the feeding program of doctors, nurses and others in the front line.
